On Tuesday 16th March 2010, retired Geography Teacher and House Master, Alwyn Gillen, met up with ten old wellensians now living and working in the United States and Canada.

 

The party met up at the Cornell Club in New York, to share a delightful dinner and many happy memories of their time the school.

 

The dinner was also a chance for many of the old school friends, now living so far away from where they grew up, to exchange telephone numbers and email addresses.

 

Mr Gillen said, "Anne and I had a wonderful time in New York. It was lovely to see everyone again and reminisce about times gone by. Unfortunatly due to work committments, not everyone living in the USA or Canada could attend, so it would be lovely to do it again very soon".
